EDD’s most recent contract with this Fortune 100 Company started as a Space Feasibility Study and evolved into a five-year modernization of its Northern VA Headquarters Campus covering 1.3 million of usable square feet. EDD was tasked with creating a stimulating workplace to enhance staff productivity, collaboration, and accessibility to leadership while accommodating the company’s current and future growth within its existing footprint. This goal was achieved through efficient space utilization planning, companywide restacking, open office areas, glass front offices, and a variety of meeting room sizes with the latest technology. EDD redesigned and added much-needed ancillary spaces including webinar facilities, training centers, IT labs, a coffee shop, a multi-media studio for on-site productions, an Executive Suite, a Boardroom, two financial trading floors, and an on-site wellness clinic.
Throughout modernization, EDD’s IWMS team worked closely with the client’s Facilities team to refine their workplace management system and make it a valuable tool that provides insight into facilities operations. The refined system helped the client improve building efficiencies, reduce operational costs, and develop real estate strategies via the different modules.
